META13 transition to concrete barrier

A transition is the connection between two safety barriers of different cross-sections or different lateral rigidity, allowing for the continuous variation in containment capacity.

The transition provides a connection between the META13 parapet and a concrete barrier. The device is approved according to the French Standard NF-058 (MARQUE NF-EQUIPEMENTS DE LA ROUTE) following part of the regulatory scope set out in the experimental Standard UNE-ENV 1317-4.

Technical parameters and NF marking

The transition to concrete barrier for the META13 parapet has been full-scale crash tested according to French Standard NF058 following part of the parameters set out in Standard UNE-ENV 1317-4 (performance classes, impact test acceptance criteria and test methods for safety barrier terminals and transitions) at the TRANSPOLIS Road Safety laboratory in France, having met all the acceptance criteria.

We renew the NF marking of our transition every year through an audit by the certifying body ASQUER.
