  • Installation conditions: concrete anchors

Applications

This is a vehicle containment system for urban safety and mobility, designed for installation on urban and metropolitan roads or where there are speed limits of 20, 30, 50 and 80 km/h. It blends in perfectly with the urban environment and with sections of roads that run along the inner roads of cities where the barrier must blend in: streets, avenues, roundabouts, crossings and cycle paths.

Benefits

  • It is an essential system for the safety of the most vulnerable road users: pedestrians and motorcyclists.
  • It adapts to bends.
  • Hot-dip galvanising of all its components according to Standard EN 1461 and powder coated in the different colours of the RAL chart.
  • Easy assembly and disassembly of impact-damaged components without the need for cutting or welding.

Installation

ANCHORAGE:
The parapet has been tested using a chemical-shear anchoring system that protects the concrete beam from impact, so that it can be easily replaced in the event of an accident.

TERMINALS:
The system start and end terminals are configured by lowering the longitudinal containment element, the end of which is suitably anchored to it, to ground level.

The Metaurban® steel barrier has undergone full-scale crash testing, according to European Standard EN 1317-2, and met all the acceptance criteria for Containment level N1.

The device is approved according to Standard UNE EN 1317 Parts 1 and 2 that , together with compliance with Part 5 regarding production control, has obtained the CE marking.

Following full-scale tests, the Metaurban® steel barrier has been awarded the CE marking according to European Standard EN 1317-5.

We renew the CE marking of our Metaurban® steel barrier every year through an audit by the certifying body AENOR, which ensures that the materials and the manufacturing processes are compliant with the declaration.

The parapet components are made of quality hot-rolled steel sheet S235JR, S275JR and S355JR, according to Standard EN 10025, and hot-dip galvanised according to Standard EN 1461. The finish of this product can be reinforced with combined anti-corrosion treatments: hot-dip galvanising + powder coating.

The Rider Protection System (SPM) can be incorporated.

GALVANIZED: Hot dip galvanized anti-corrosion treatment according to UNE-EN 1461 standard.

POWDER COATING: Protection by polyester powder painting, according to UNE-EN 15773 standard.
