

METALESA will work on the landmark bridge over the Bay of Cadiz

The company has been contracted to construct 1,250 m2 of 2.5m high mixed acoustic screen, of which the first metre will be metal with the remainder in methacrylic. The screen will be installed Río San Pedro Industrial Estate section, reducing the noise caused by road traffic on the new bridge.
With this contract, METALESA becomes part of the group of companies working on this landmark project that will improve access to the city and its connection with the Bay, contributing to the economic and social development of Cadiz and its port. The Second Bridge is the most significant infrastructure under construction right now, not just in Spain but in Europe. It is the longest combined road and rail cable-stayed bridge in the world. Second place goes to the Tianxingzhou Bridge, in China (504 metres) and third to Øresund Bridge that joins Sweden and Denmark (490 metres).
